Agilent Technologies Acquires Varian
Agilent Technologies Inc. and Varian Inc. have announced that they have signed a
definitive agreement for the acquisition by Agilent of Varian, a worldwide supplier of
scientific instrumentation and associated consumables for life science and applied
market applications. The acquisition broadens Agilent’s applications and solutions
offerings in life sciences, environmental, and energy and materials. It also expands
Agilent’s product portfolio into atomic and molecular spectroscopy; establishes a
leading position in NMR, imaging and vacuum technologies; and strengthens its
consumables portfolio.
Axiom Launches HACCP Interactive Program
Axiom’s HACCP Interactive Program is an officially sanctioned program verified
and audited by the Guelph (Canada) Food Technology Centre and is the first contractor
in North America to be HACCP-compliant. Like every HACCP program, this program
is based on policies, procedures, documentation, verifications/controls and third-party
audits. All Axiom employees receive training from Axiom’s Food Safety Coordinator
(HACCP 1 trained) and all HACCP customers receive documentation upon completion of our work, specifically designed to interact with a customer’s HACCP program.
