Parker Hannifin is now offering a new line of stainless steel
filters designed for those areas in food facilities that are frequently
exposed to aggressive washdown chemicals. These
filters remove oil, water, rust, bacteria and other viable organisms from compressed air and other gases.
This efficiency is at least 30 times better than the
accepted standard for sterile air filters developed by
independent research organizations in the U.S. and
UK. Constructed of 304 stainless steel, these filters are
in full compliance with the requirements of the U.S.
Food and Drug Administration and will stand up to
the harshest environments in the food and beverage
industries. The product line comes complete with auto
drains and a high efficiency filter cartridge installed.

Multipacker Wraps
Standard-Knapp, a manufacturer of packaging machinery, has
introduced the Tritium™ Multipacker, a continuous-motion multipacker
capable of handling food industry applications. With single-, double-and three-lane configurations, the multipacker swiftly arranges products
into compact pack patterns and wraps the configurations in film,
eliminating the need for trays and pads. It then sends the packs through
an energy-efficient heat tunnel to tightly shrink the film around each
multipack, producing a consistent, wrinkle-free bottom seal.
