Celsis Rapid Detection has released a new and enhanced version of Innovate.im software for the Celsis Innovate™ system that is used worldwide by dairy, food and beverage manufacturers to screen products for microbial contamination. The system shortens product and ingredient testing times from 4 to 14 days to as few as 24 to 48 hours.

Gluten Test Kits Romer Labs has launched two new test kits for gluten, thereby expanding its product portfolio for food allergens. The AgraStrip® Gluten G12 is a lateral-flow device for on-site factory testing, and the AgraQuant® Gluten G12 is an ELISA for quantitative testing in the laboratory. The kits use proprietary gluten detection technology, which employs
a next-generation antibody called G12
that targets the most immunotoxic proteins for
those intolerant to gluten.

Petri Dish Filling
Microbiology International had introduced the
Systec MediaFill plate pourer, making Petri dish
filling more reliable than ever before. With the
ability to pour 90-mm, 60-mm and 30-mm Petri
dishes (both standard and deep), MediaFill is
ideal for a wide variety of applications. The
intuitive touch screen has a large display,
complete with a database of Petri dishes.
Both brand and plate size can be chosen to
ensure precise operation. The Drop-Stop
function prevents drips at the filling nozzle
by pumping back a programmable amount
of media between each poured plate, which
is especially useful for custom media that
has low viscosity.
