Pfizer Animal Health has introduced the
Escherichia coli Bacterial Extract vaccine with
SRP® technology as the first and only vaccine
conditionally licensed by the U.S. Department
of Agriculture to reduce the amount of E. coli
O157 pathogens in the intestines of cattle. This
advanced technology reduces the amount of
the pathogen in cattle before they enter the
slaughtering facility and decreases the amount
of E. coli O157 shed in the feedlot, minimizing
environmental contamination.

Food Case Packing
Douglas Machine Inc. has announced the introduction of
the Ascend bottom-load case packer, the latest addition to
their extensive line of case packing products. The Ascend is
a compact, fully automated machine designed to efficiently
bottom-load products into cases. The bottom-load case packer
is ideally suited for products such as gable-top and tuck-lid
cartons, bottles and tubs. It offers a variety of advanced in-feed
solutions to collate and stack products prior to gentle case
loading, and top and bottom case flaps are sealed prior to
discharging cases.
